Brief explanation:

The Port Security feature notes a device’s MAC address connected to the switch port and allows only that MACaddress to communicate on that port. Port security will disable the port if any other MAC address tries to communicate through the port.

Commands explained:

1. switchport port-security maximum{number} -  [number of MAC addresses allowed]: You can use this command to allow more than the default number of MAC addresses, default number is one.

2. switchport port-security violation {shutdown | restrict | protect}:
This command tells the switch what to do when the number of MAC addresses on the port has exceeded the maximum. The default is to shut down the port.

b. Protect: only allow traffic from the secure port and drop packets from other MAC addresses.

3. switchport port-securitymac-address {MAC address}:

You can use this command to manually define the MAC address allowed for this port rather than letting the port dynamically determine the MAC address.

Brief explanation

EIGRP is a Cisco proprietary hybrid-distance-vector routing protocol. It's primarily a distance-vector routing protocol, it uses the same composite metrics as Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP).

EIGRP uses the Diffusing-Update Algorithm (DUAL) to perform look-free routing and calculate the shortest path.

The default administrative distance is 90.
